Brazos Valley Council of Governments: 2022/2023 Regional Solid Waste Grants Program (US)

The Brazos Valley Council of Governments is inviting applications for the 2022/2023 Regional Solid Waste Grants Program.
The purpose of this program is to provide funding for eligible local and regional municipal solid waste management projects in support of the goals and objectives of the adopted Regional Solid Waste Management Plan (RSWMP) for the Brazos Valley Council of Governments (BVCOG) region. Funding for this program is provided through a grant from the TCEQ, under the authority of, Texas Health and Safety Code.
Eligibility Criteria
Only those local and regional political subdivisions located within the State of Texas are eligible to receive funding from the BVCOG as a pass-through grant.
Eligible entities are:
Cities
Counties
Public schools and school districts (excluding universities and other post-secondary educational institutions)
General and special law districts created in accordance with state law, and with the authority and responsibility for water quality protection or municipal solid waste management, to include river authorities
Regional Councils of Governments
Private and non-profit companies and organizations are not eligible to receive grant funding. However, recipients of a grant may contract with private and non-profit entities to provide specific grant-funded services.
