The Building Resilience against Violent Extremism and Polarisation (BRaVE) project invites proposals from innovative projects involving youth (whether children, adolescents, or young adults) in the field of Sports and the Arts, working on preventing polarisation and violent extremism and building resilience towards such phenomena.

The BRaVE Fair brings together innovative projects in the field of arts and sports-based interventions, to respond to political frustration throughout Europe, particularly of youth, and support the development of interfaith dialogue and community resilience. The BRaVE Fair represents the flagship event of the project and offers an opportunity to support and showcase new grassroots anti-extremism projects.
The Horizon 2020 project BRaVE will select the best three projects for the BRaVE Award which are accompanied by a monetary contribution of 10,000 Euro each.

One or two implementing and responsible persons of the project must be willing and able to travel to Berlin on 18-19 November 2020 to join the BRaVE Fair where the 3 winning projects will be announced.

Requirements for a project supported by the Project Award:
Applicants can be individuals or legal entities. If legal entities they have to be not for profit.
Eligible projects focus on youth (children, adolescents or young adults until 27 years of age). They also involve arts or sports activities. The successful project combats violent extremism and polarisation and builds resilience through artistic and sports’ related programme activities. The applicant has ongoing projects or has had them within the last 6 months.
The not for profit legal entity or the individual carrying out the work must be able to sign a subcontract for three months (January – March 2021) with cultures interactive e.V. (Germany). The subcontract cannot double fund any activities.
A complete and correctly submitted Application form as well as the video submission referenced in the Call for Proposals. The video submission will be posted on the BRaVE website. It will be open for voting online by the general public in October 2020 and will also be shown to a large audience in Berlin.
A signed confirmation that the submission has obtained appropriate copyright permissions for all of the materials used (e.g. signed waivers of individuals in photographs). The application form and all supplementary materials must relate specifically to the submitted project. All of the information submitted and/or distributed to publicise the project may not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party.
