BPMR is starting to recruit projects that help promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and its link to migration.

The call for proposals is part of the project “Sustainable Development and Migration Goals – Multiplayers and Journalists Address EU Decision-Makers and Citizens”, funded by the EC’s DEAR – Education for Development and Awareness Raising program.

Objectives

Raising awareness of the SDGs and their link at local and / or national level to migration;
Involvement of the local population / general public and competent institutions;
Participation of formal and informal local groups and citizens (pupils, students, activists) to raise awareness of the SDGs and migration.
Expected Results

Improving and / or creating a place for the exchange of information on the implementation of the SDGs related to migration at local and / or national level;
Increasing the attention and involvement of citizens in the implementation of the SDGs and their connection with migration.
Thematic Priorities

Local actions developed by the sub-grantees shall contribute to the pan-European campaign focused on fighting inequalities with special focus to migration (racism, integration, inclusion, role of development cooperation) and reaching out and engaging local citizens, including actions that aim:

To raise awareness on SDGs at local level and to engage local population in mobilizing local actors and authorities in commitments and pr actical actions for the implementation of the SDGs.
To raise awareness among migrants and asylum seekers and local communities about the importance of the implementation of the SDGs in their everyday lives.
To showcase the positive impact of the migrants towards the development of the local and national economies.
To develop public awareness and critical understanding of the causes, consequences and possible solutions to economic inequalities; and engage with public authorities to advocate public policies aiming at reducing income and wealth inequalities.

Under the current procedure, 2 projects up to EUR 5,000 each will be financed.

Project duration

The project activities can start from the day of signing the contract and must be completed no later than December 30, 2020.

Note: National civil society organisations are eligible if the action involves local groups and people at the grass-roots level.
In order to be eligible for a sub-grant, applicants must:
Be a legal person and/or registered entity (registered before 2019).
Be non-profit makingBe established in one of the project countries.
Note: An applicant can submit only one proposal.
