BirdLife is seeking to recruit a motivated and dedicated individual for the position of Seabird Projects Assistant based at Dakar to assist with the implementation of the Coastal Seabirds and the Cape Verde Seabirds projects. Working together with the Seabird Projects Manager the assistant will support in a number of daily tasks. These will include assisting in the coordination of the activities by the partners, timely delivery of outputs and outcomes, and efficient management of budgets, fieldwork and workshop logistics, administrative tasks, capacity building, advocacy, fundraising and communications. This is an on-job training position and the Seabird Projects Assistant will benefit from day-to-day basis training and is expected to be gradually involved in more technical and demanding tasks. The seabirds programme is a fast-growing marine programme focused in West Africa, managing a number of marine conservation and advocacy projects. The programme is primarily focused on marine biodiversity conservation, in particularly seabirds, marine and terrestrial habitats, working with a vast and diverse group of stakeholders in the region and elsewhere. The main responsibilities of the Seabird Projects Assistant will be as follows: 1. Provide assistance to the Seabird Projects Manager with the implementation of the projects; Qualification and Requirements: • Relevant degree-level qualification.
