Apply Now for COVID-19 Recovery Grants Round 2 – Australia

The City of Moonee Valley is inviting applications for its COVID-19 Recovery Grants – Round 2. The Moonee Valley City Council is committed to supporting the local community, businesses and artists to adapt and bounce back through the global COVID-19 pandemic. This grants program is designed to support the adaption, continuation and recovery of these vital parts of city.

Funding Streams

This program offers three streams of funding for:

Business Recovery Grants: This grant is designed to support Moonee Valley businesses that have been financially impacted by pandemic restrictions.
Community Recovery Grants: This grant is designed to support local community groups and organisations that have been impacted by the pandemic to continue operations and to deliver meaningful community projects.
Art Recovery Grants: This grant is designed to provide support for the development of new works or works that were interrupted as a result of COVID-19 lockdowns.

Adapting to changing needs – up to $5,000
Business collaboration – up to $10,000
Community
Adapting community services – up to $5,000
Community connection and collaboration – up to $5,000
Emergency partnerships (community groups) – up to $1,500
Emergency partnerships (community service organisations) – up to $20,000
Arts
Individual artists – up to $2,500
Arts organisations – up to $5,000
Eligibility Criteria

Applicants that have no outstanding acquittals, variations, debts or financial or legal disputes with the City of Moonee Valley.
Applicants whose values are consistent with Council’s values to promote diversity, tolerance and an inclusive community as outlined in the Moonee Valley 2040 Strategy’s Principles.
Applicants who are not electronic gaming machine (EGM) venue operators or sports betting companies.
Applicants with adequate Public Liability Insurance (PLI), unless granted an exemption. Exemptions from requiring PLI must be confirmed with Council prior to applying.
Individual artists whose projects are taking place entirely from home are exempt from requiring PLI and do not need prior approval to apply without PLI.
A social enterprise is defined by Social Traders as a business that trades to intentionally tackle social problems, improve communities, provide people access to employment and training, or help the environment.
Businesses that can demonstrate financial impacts caused by pandemic restrictions.
Businesses must be registered or provide proof of being based and operating in Moonee Valley.
