Apply Now for Biodiverse Landscapes Fund

The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs is now accepting applications for Biodiverse Landscapes Fund (BLF) Programme.

The UK’s £100 million Biodiverse Landscapes Fund (BLF) will help biodiverse landscapes around the world to:

protect and restore biodiversity
reduce poverty
reduce the impact of climate change
Types of programmes
They will fund programmes that help to:

reduce poverty and create sustainable economic development for communities living in, and dependent upon, environmentally precious landscapes
protect and restore ecosystems and biologically diverse landscapes
reduce climate change by preserving carbon sinks and ecosystems
address the causes of environmental degradation
support national and local governments, park authorities and communities to achieve long-term sustainable management and use of natural resources
Eligibility Criteria
You can apply for funding if you’re working in biodiversity, climate change and poverty reduction, and are:
a non-governmental organisation (NGO)
a civil society organisation (CSO)
a private sector partner
a multilateral organisation
a social development organisation
a United Nations body
an academic institution
Governments and ‘parastatal bodies’ (organisations set up to provide government services) cannot apply for BLF funding.
They will fund programmes in:
Lower Mekong – covering areas of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam
The BLF will run from 2022 to 2029.
