Applications open for Reach Out DCSOs (Cameroon)

Deadline: 09-Mar-2024The Reach Out is launching an open call for DCSOs to improve the quality and output of the grant and ensure continuous delivery of services to vulnerable communities in the Northwest and Southwest Regions.

In anticipation for the successful implementation of the GC7 Humanitarian Sub-grant in the Northwest and Southwest Regions in Cameroon, in addition to the internal process and key performance evaluation of previous sub recipients under NFM3.Objective
  • The purpose of this Terms of Reference is to define the criteria required for the recruitment of 29 CBOs (SSR) to implement some of the local activities of the “Scaling up Malaria Control for High Impact” project using a humanitarian approach.
  • Participation and Qualifications Required
  • Any national, private, faith-based, secular civil society organization/institution that meets the following requirements may be selected as an SSR. For CSOs seeking to apply to be an SSR in more than one health district, should have a separate complete application file for each health district applied for.Legal Capacity
    • Have an approval or act of recognition by the competent authority (Receipt of Declaration of Association, NGO Approval/MINAT Decision, etc.Have a regional and/or local physical representation.
    Expertise in community health and humanitarian activities
    • Experience (at least 03 years) in implementing community-based health activities or a staff with the same experience or more, related to prevention and or treatment of any of the three diseases Malaria, HIV, and or (TB).Have a proven track record in the implementation of Humanitarian activities.Being a member of a humanitarian cluster will be an added advantage.Understand humanitarian principles and their application in the implementation of community-based response activities in the NW and SW regions.
    Managerial and Financial Skills
    • Have the capacity to manage funding from national or international institutions.Have staff in the fields of administrative, financial, and accounting management.Having an experience in the storage of products and stock management, especially of drugs, will be an added value.
    Monitoring and evaluation skills
    • Be able to collect and record programmatic data.Have staff in the areas of planning, monitoring and evaluation and reporting.Ability to prepare regular and reliable activity reports.Be able to manage according to established standards programmed activities under their responsibility.
