Habitat for Humanity’s Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter in Partnership with BDO EA and Pangea are inviting applicants for 2018 Kenya Shelter Tech Accelerator Program.

The mission of this program is to find, train and support the most promising entrepreneurs addressing challenges in housing, water and sustainable energy for marginalized Kenyan populations.

The program will provide support to 30 startups working in the area of energy, water, and general housing construction technology, and will work to grow their businesses, connect with mentors and advisors, and gain exposure to investors.

How the Program Works

• Validation and Scalability: Get the skills and tools you need to validate and scale applicant’s business.
• Mentoring: Tap in to a pool of experience and expertise from the angel investor and diaspora communities in Europe, US and Africa. Learn from succesful entrepreneurs, angel investors and experts.
• Management and Operation: Learn how to run the daily operational activities of applicant’s business
• Access investors: As a startup, having the right investment and competence partner is a crucial aspect of growing applicant’s business. At Pangeaa, they match you with best investors to accelerate applicant’s company.

• Impact Driven Early Stage Startups: Applicant’s idea is unique and scalable.
• Pre-Revenue & Revenue Companies: Applicants have either generated some income or in the process of doing so.
• Potential To Create Employment: Applicant’s project will create jobs in their community.
• Passionate Team: Applicants believe in their project and work hard to reach their goals.
