APM Terminals operates one of the world’s most comprehensive port and integrated inland service networks and continues investing in new business opportunities as well as upgrading current facilities. Project Execution (PE) is the function responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for project implementations, governance and standards to be used in the APM Terminals wide organization and is directly responsible for large CAPEX driven projects including greenfields, major expansion as well as upgrades and retrofits to existing facilities.We will soon kick off significant capital expansion project at our existing operation in Tangier, Morocco. The goal of the project is to both grow the existing container terminal business for APM Terminals TM2 as well as expand the business value and proposition for entire West Med. The objective of this position is to ensure that all APM Terminals’ Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) policies are stringently followed, by all related stakeholders from mobilization, through build to terminal start up.

Key responsibilities• Develop the project HSSE vision and strategy, with goals, targets and objectives for the lifetime of the project.• Assuring and advising the site management on all issues related to health and safety.• Ensuring implementation of both APMT and Main contractor health and safety strategy is formulated and delivered effectively.• Creating awareness among workforce and management on health and safety policy, legislation and standards.• Showing exemplary leadership quality in promoting health and safety with a vision to promote business with regulators and external stakeholders and improve business standing.• Monitor and track all incidents to document and investigate properly, ensuring effective close out and learnings to be shared across the business.• Ensure a structure is in place to enable collaboration between parties to ensure two-way communication and cooperation through the lifetime of the project.• Apply for, manage and maintain all relevant permits, operating licenses and the ISPS license for the terminal in close co-operation with the local HSSE team.• Ensure roles and responsibilities for safety and health are communicated and understood and delivered against by accountable parties. For specific construction duty holders develop HSSE expectations per role.• Develop an assurance program to ensure all relevant parties audit, inspect and complete safety tours when required. That a process exists to ensure effective consequence management for positive and negative outcomes. Assurance results are rolled up and trending completed, with feedback during monthly Supplier Safety Forum.• Make sure emergency preparedness and crisis communication protocols internally and externally are arranged.• Lead the project culture & behavior program to ensure the right behaviors and climate develops. Including Reward and Recognition programs to reinforce desired behaviors in supply chain.• Monitor targets for HSSE KPIs and report within the project organization and into APM Terminal’s global HSSE function.• Ad-hoc and monthly progress reporting within the project and to the head office.

We are looking for• University of higher vocational degree and certification in safety and/or security management; alternatively, a technical education with additional high quality training in the field of HSSE.• Proven track record of directing and monitoring an outsourced supply chain in construction sector for at least 10 years.• Broad oversight of all relevant HSSE specialist fields, and ability to organize knowledge and expertise from internal or external consultants.• Experience on major projects when representing the client organisation.• Excellent communication skills – conflict resolution, diplomacy.• Understanding of cultural differences.• Well-developed project management skills.• Advanced English verbal and written communication skills is a must, knowledge of French is a great advantage.• Hands on and output focused.• Committed and passionate.• Team player.POSTULER
