We are looking for a self-starting, goal oriented individual to lead Finance in our Africa Liner Operations Cluster (AFRLOC).As CFO in AFRLOC you will get the opportunity to steer and impact strategic direction and business decisions by providing the leadership team and senior leaders with accurate, analytical and insightful analysis to achieve our shared strategic and financial goals. As CFO, you will be the sparring partner and trusted business advisor to the Managing Director of the LOC, provide financial leadership in the AFRLOC Leadership team, as well as leadership for a team of highly skilled finance professionals and business partners.Through close interaction with the Leadership team, you will analyze, discuss and challenge the financial and performance trends, as well as influence appropriate actions to ensure we deliver what we have promised to our customers and that the business results meet the set targets. You will be the owner of all aspects within financial management, where you will lead, coach and develop the AFRLOC finance team.
Key responsibilitiesAs part of the AFRLOC Leadership Team, you will display financial thinking and leadership. Through proactive focus on cross-functional work, you will drive agreed business strategies across the trades and countries within the scope of AFRLOC. You will be:- Working with the rest of the AFRLOC leadership team to achieve the strategic and financial goals and provide ambitious leadership for the Finance organization.- Driving a continuous improvement mind-set on both our Delivery Promise to our customers and our cost leadership agenda.- Working with our global PtP team located in our Global Service Centre and taking full ownership of numbers together with the extended team.- Responsible for performance management and driving business performance across all functions.- Building a high performance environment by continuously developing the accurate key metrics to monitor and track business objectives.- Providing financial information and expertise to inform and challenge the strategy and target recommendations.- Delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decision-making.- Delivering and communicating a detailed understanding of the consolidated financials and business decisions to the Leadership Team on a routine basis.- Responsible for yearly budget process, quarterly forecasting and monthly reporting.- Ensure that financial governance limits any legal, compliance and tax risk and control exposure.- Drive working capital improvements and treasury opportunities across AFRLOC.- Understand the consolidated financials, operational drivers and the business development and be fully accountable for the quality of same as the ultimate finance leader in this location.
We are looking forWe are looking for a proactive individual who can challenge the status quo at all levels of the organization.- The ideal candidate holds a Master degree in Economics, Finance or related discipline.- You have a minimum of 8 years of experience and some as a functional leader and being part of a strategic leadership team.- You have strong financial understanding as well as analytical skills at a very high level.- You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills being able to work with both management and specialists in a large organization.- You are a self-starter with a high motivation level to take on new tasks and ensure timely and successful execution.- You are used to work in a challenging and fast – paced environment dealing with a lot of different tasks at the same time and managing deadlines along the way.- You are skilled in written and spoken English.- You have strong business ethics; conducts all activities with honesty and integrity.- You are an Inspiring leader, persuasive but at the same time a good team-player, with a strong international mindset.POSTULER
