APM Terminals IS South Africa currently has a vacancy for a Container Handling Equipment Operator based at the container depot in Port Elizabeth. This position will be responsible for the movement of the containers within the depot and loading and offloading of the containers from trucks in compliance with Health and Safety and Standard Procedures.

Key responsibilities-Administrate movement of containers in the yard according to Yard Supervisor instructions.-Ensure that full and empty containers be kept separate – NO exceptions.-Ensure containers are handled and stacked in proper manner in accordance with SOP.-Ensure handling equipment is operated strictly in accordance with SOP.-No damages to machines, containers or any company property.-Any damage or defects to machines or company property to be reported to operations supervisor.-Daily checks on machinery to be carried out prior to commencement of shift.-Ensure cabins are neat and tidy at all times.-Ensure adherence to HSSE policies to reduce risks in the depot.-Strict compliance with operational instructions of machinery.
We are looking for-CHE operating license/s is required.-Matric/Grade 12.-2 to 3 years experience in similar position.POSTULER
