Duties
The U.S. Mission in Dakar/ Senegal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Driver. Drives official vehicle as directed by the Chief of Mission. Vehicle may be either a fully armored vehicle or a lightly armored vehicle. Maintains vehicle and keeps it clean, orderly and ready for use at all times. Maintains trip logs for each official use.
Job requirements
- Three years driving experience as a professional chauffeur of passengers is required.
- Thorough familiarity with Dakar traffic patterns/traffic regulations and major government office locations. Must be courteous and polite and know how to address all passengers. The Incumbent must have a valid driver license of at least category D.
- English level III (Good Working Knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
- French level III (Good Working Knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
- Excellent driving skills, including ability to drive defensively and make fast decisions in an emergency. Appropriate driver license for chauffeuring passengers is required.
