Duties
Receiving routine supervision, the incumbent is responsible for daily operations, management, and administration of all unclassified computer hardware, software, and network assets subscribing to ICASS Cost Center Code 5458 at Post. This unclassified network base platform consists of Microsoft Windows 2012/2016/2019 Servers and Windows 10 Operating Systems. The incumbent will do limited web programming, support video conferencing applications and will serve as the main backup for the maintenance and troubleshooting of all the Consular Affairs Systems at Post; to include Hardware and Software support.
Job requirements
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in the computer field which could include computer management, project management, applications or SharePoint programming, support technician, Active Directory management and computer networking. All of which demonstrate proven analytical and judgmental abilities.
- Must possess knowledge of the techniques and methodologies involving computer operations, management, and related aspects of telecommunications; computer networking; cloud computing, hardware and software technology.
- Bachelor’s Degree, in Computer Science or Information Systems Management is required
- This position will require customer-service abilities and exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills on software and hardware issues in addition to the ability to create and maintain schedules, organize workloads, and exercise good records management. Requires a valid driver’s license.
- Level 4 English and French (Fluency, speaking/writing including the ability to translate) are required. (This may be tested.)
