Purpose
Positions holders are responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of finance, including financial planning & analysis, financial control, accounting, tax, treasury, accounts payable/receivable, and credit & collections. Activities include financial transaction/data entry, financial data verification, financial records maintenance, and compiling/maintaining ad-hoc financial information.
Accountability Level
Management level positions managing/supervising experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments. Focuses on policy and business plan implementation for short-term results (1 year or less). May set goals and objectives for team members for the achievement of operational/Job Family Group results. Manages projects and processes that are moderately complex with little oversight
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the local teams and banks to support extraction out of the country.
- Working closely with Group Treasury and ensuring all approvals are in place before cash extractions are facilitated.
- Primary contact with the local banks while managing banking relationships in the region.
- Leading, managing and approving cash forecasts submission by Wipro every week
- Facilitate in opening new bank accounts/closure of dormant accounts
- Coordinating with bank to arrange for payment of invoices.
- Support in updating bank mandates of the banks in the region in line with Group DOA and coordinating changes to the bank mandate as and when required.
- Monitoring BPO deliverables on intercompany balances on a monthly basis ensuring intercompany differences of Africa entities are cleared in a timely manner
- Monitoring BPO deliverables on bank reconciliation for AMEA region ensuring banks are fully reconciled and any variances cleared in 30 days.
- Working closely with Group Treasury and local teams to facilitate payments of aged intercompany payments while supporting extradition of cash and bringing down aged intercompany balances.
Education and Experience
- University Degree / Specialized Diploma
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in Finance/Audit environment managing French speaking countries in Africa.
- Experience working in a matrix global organization.
- Must be proficient in both French and English languages
