Google Computer Science for High School 2016
Deadline: China (January 31, 2016), Africa and Middle East (February 14, 2016), Europe (February 15, 2016), Australia/New Zealand (February 26, 2016), USA/Canada (March 14, 2016)
Google is committed to supporting improvement in computer science teaching and learning. The CS4HS annual awards program supports universities, colleges, and non-profits dedicated to providing exemplary computer science professional development for teachers. It also aims at improving the computer science (CS) educational ecosystem by providing funding for the continuation of CS teacher professional development worldwide.
Awards
Awards vary from one region to another:
- Africa: Institutions may receive support of up to $15,000 each. Additional funding is available for projects with regional reach and the potential to scale nationally. This can be through MOOCs or collaborating with other organisations.
- Australia/New Zealand: Institutions in Australia and New Zealand may receive support of up to $15,000 each.
- Canada: Institutions in Canada may receive support of up to $35,000 each.
- China: Institutions may receive support of up to $12,000 each.
- Europe: Institutions may receive support of up to $15,000 each. Additional funding is available for projects with regional reach and the potential to scale nationally. This can be through MOOCs or collaborating with other organisations.
- Middle East: Institutions may receive support of up to $15,000 each. Additional funding is available for projects with regional reach and the potential to scale nationally. This can be through MOOCs or collaborating with other organisations.
- USA: Institutions in the US may receive support of up to $35,000 each. A MINIMUM of 10% of your funding must be allocated to year round communities of practice work. Additional funding is possible for programs that conduct academic research on their workshops.
