Africa Summit on Women and Girls in Technology 2016

Deadline: Ongoing

Registration is ongoing for the 2016 Africa Summit on Women and Girls in Technology. The digital gender divide remains an unacceptable barrier to achieving the vision of a thriving Africa that benefits all her people. This summit seeks to find solutions to bridge the gap. The forum will explore how technology policy can further the rights and interests of women and girls in Africa so that millions of African women and girls can benefit from access to technology and use their skills to build a better Africa for all.

The 2016 Africa Summit on Women and Girls in Technology is a collaboration between the Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI), the World Wide Web Foundation, UN Women, the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Center of Excellence in ICT (AITI-KACE), and the African Development Bank.

  • A limited number of travel scholarships are available to support the participation of women and girls based outside of Accra, Ghana.
