Africa Carbon & Commodities recrute 01 Responsable Crédits Carbone & Plastique
Africa Carbon & Commodities is looking for an ambitious and experienced individual who shares our vision of helping companies meet their environmental goals and reach carbon neutrality. The suitable applicant will join our team in Dakar, Senegal and will work on carbon and plastic credits projects throughout West Africa.
Key responsibilities
- Developing and managing carbon & plastic credits projects
- Drafting and assisting with Project Design and Development (PDD)
- Monitoring & Evaluation of projects
Key Qualifications
- Experience with carbon based or plastic credits projects and activities involving clean & efficient cookstoves and water filters.
- Extensive knowledge & expertise in conducting project feasibility study of carbon and plastic projects.
- Knowledge of methodologies for the estimation of carbon emission reductions or sequestration, and additionality tests.
- Experience with the registration and verification process of carbon and plastic projects.
- Knowledge of voluntary carbon market standards and methodologies.
- Understanding of GHG emission reduction standards and methodologies.
- Experience in the field of climate change, preferably with experience in project management and development of CDM, Verra, VCS and Gold Standard projects and methodologies.
- Expertise in designing, structuring, and developing carbon offsetting ideally coastal ecosystems and mangroves projects, focusing on project feasibility assessment.
- Capacity to provide technical support on estimations of the financial, social and climate eligibility & viability of potential carbon projects.
- Fluency in English and French languages – oral and written.
- Excellent research and writing skills and statistical analysis.
