ACF recruits 01 Psychologist Mental Health And Care Practices, Gender and Protection Head of Department

 

Country: AFGHANISTAN – Kabul

ACF has been operating in Afghanistan since 1979, with a strong focus on emergency response to human-made and natural disasters, targeting primarily refugees, Internally Displaced Persons, and flood/drought affected populations. Over the years, ACF has expanded the focus of its’ intervention from short-term, more emergency to longer term projects aimed at addressing chronic vulnerabilities of the communities and strengthening their capacity to prepare to, and cope with disasters. Sector-wise, ACF has established itself over the past 25 years as a prominent Nutrition and WASH actor, with recognized expertise in these two sectors.

 

Length of contract: 4 months, starting from 25th of July 2019

 

The position: Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director, you’ll contribute to implement and monitor Mental Health & Care Practices (MHCP) programs as well as the development of MHCP interventions according to ACF and international standards and national policies.

More precisely, you will have to:

  • Manage and assist the MHCP teams at all bases to ensure highest quality of MHCP component of the ongoing programs with focus on nationalised department for sustainability
  • Monitor and coordinate programs that include mainstreamed, integrated or standalone MHCP
  • Expand on the current integrated MHCP strategy, positioning and external coordination according ACF’s country strategy and the government strategy
  • Integrate Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) department within MHCP interventions

 

 

The applicant:

You hold a Psychologist degree. You have at least four years of field experience with NGOs at coordination level. A previous experience in managing psychosocial programs in the field in coordination with other technical departments is compulsory. Capacity and commitment to capitalisation and capacity building is a plus.

Your diplomacy, your context sensitivity and your team management skills enable you to evolve in stressful contexts.

Excellent English skills are required.

Status:

Contract: 3 months fixed term contract under French legislation

Remuneration and benefits :

  • Monthly gross salary from 1 805 € to 2 305 € upon experience.

+ Per diem and living allowance: 383 € (cf eurocost) net, field paid.

+ 12 % of monthly gross salary as country allowance.

+ 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen.

+ Child allowance, limited to 5 children.

 

Transportation and accommodation:

  • Coverage of transportation costs to and in the mission.
  • Individual room in guesthouse covered

Medical coverage: 100% coverage of medical expenses + repatriation insurance.

Leaves and RnR:

  • 25 days of paid leaves per year.
  • + 20 RnR per year.
  • + 215 € at each RnR period (averagely every 2 months)
  • Coverage of the transportation expenses to the RnR area of reference.

Training :

  • Free and unlimited access to the certifying e-learning platform Crossknowledge ©.
  • Technical trainings at HQ or regional level (averagely 1 per year).
  • Intermission Workshop once a year.
  • Opportunity of coaching (DP) or mentorship.
  • Participation to external trainings costs upon eligibility of the request.
