ACF recruits 01 Hunger and Conflict Research Officer

Responsibilities: Within the Expertise and Advocacy Department, you will be in charge of to develop a research on the topic of Hunger and Conflict.

More precisely, your missions will be:

• Capitalization, synthesis and inventory of work on the topic
  • Literature review on hunger and conflict in the context of the humanitarian crisis in the Lake Chad basin and other crises
  • Capitalisating on previous and current activities and initiatives carried on in Action against Hunger
  • Identification of advocacy and research opportunities on hunger and conflict

• Coordinate and write a case study and report
  • Drafting of a report on the impact of security measures on food security in the Lake Chad Basin,
  • Organization and participation in meetings with identified targets; participation in meetings with decision-makers where appropriate and reporting;
  • Development of key messages and recommendations

• Coordination of advocacy and research activities related to the Hunger and Conflict Initiative
  • Coordinate its activities with members of the ACF network advocacy team on hunger and conflict issues, including G7 advocacy, food security, WASH, humanitarian;
  • Participate in activities related to the Hunger and Conflict Initiative.

You are experienced in report writing.

Fluent written and spoken English.

Salary Conditions : From €38 to €41K gross per year over 13 months depending on experience, 21 days of RTT, 20 days of telework per year (as part of ACF’s telework policy, after managerial agreement), meal vouchers at €8 (60% paid by ACF), supplementary health insurance (80% paid by ACF), 50% reimbursement for public transport.

Position taking: as soon as possible

Specific conditions and skills: Prolonged sitting, oral expression, screen work, telephone contact, mobility and frequent international travel.
