position: investment analyst
location: dakar, senegal

the position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, apply a variety of analytical skills relevant to entrepreneurship and the venture capital industry and develop within a burgeoning industry. self-awareness, a pre-disposition towards collaboration with others, initiative, and strong explanatory skills are important to success in this role.

requirements:

– demonstrated interest in technology, renewable energy, start-ups, entrepreneurship, venture capital, etc.
– experience with financial modelling
– strong initiative, ownership, and attention to detail
– ability to suggest improvements to processes
– proficiency/fluency in french
– proficiency/fluency in english
– graduate from math-oriented degree or similar work experience
– previous experience with a financial institution preferable
– demonstrated interest in west africa preferable

tasks will revolve around assisting the finance officer and founder in fundraising:

– research of potential investors
– responding to investor information requests
– data room management
– editing investor decks
– creating and updating financial models
– liaising with other departments to manage data and develop data collection processes
– assisting in general company administration
