Position:WASH Coordinator for Act to End NTDs(Neglected Tropical Diseases) |West Grant Program.

Localization: Niamey

Position open to Niger Citizens and/or people already having a work permit in Niger.

World Vision is in search of an experienced WASH Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of the USAID(Act to End NTDs|West) grant which seeks to support disease-endemic countries to control and/or eliminate Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) with proven, cost effective public health interventions.

CEP-NTD WASH Coordinatorwill support program management functions and program activities. S/he will support the creation, implementation and adoption of processes that enable knowledge capture/management, collaboration, problem solving and organizational learning across program. The WASH Coordinator will have wide‑ranging responsibilities and work with project staff at all levels both in National Office and in World Vision’s Regional Office.  This position requires flexibility and willingness to assume varied duties and projects with an emphasis on administrative tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide program and administrative support to Program Manager and West Africa regional Team.
  • Program and financial reporting: Support compilation and filing of programmatic and financial reports. Organize, edit, file and track programmatic, financial reports and all communications to partners and other stakeholders’ reports.
  • Ensuring that learning derived from program and evidence activities is appropriately packaged in line with program’s strategic.
  • Work with Program Manager to support Ministere de la Santé in accelerating, documenting and sustaining NTD control and elimination.
  • Meeting/ event management: Plan, organize and manage meetings with stakeholders (donors, partners) including venue, catering, transport; flights, visa processing and
  • Work closely with the office operations and Finance team to support with all local procurement requirements and management of contractors and vendors, ensuring accurate set up and timely payments (including procurement requests, contacting and negotiating with prequalified suppliers to source for quotations, preparation and provision of necessary procurement paperwork)
  • Filing of all reports, grant documentation, communication to and from stakeholders
  • Assisting in review and editing of project work plans and reports;
  • Fulfill other programmatic, financial, and administrative functions as required

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, International Development,Program Management, Water & Sanitation.
  • Minimum four years of office/NGO experience.
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with special attention to detail and timeliness.
  • Good English fluency and writing Skills.
  • Proven ability to develop routines to manage large workloads and organize work efficiently.
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong quantitative skills, with emphasis on working with budgets and spreadsheets
  • Readiness to interact with a variety of people and assume diverse duties and tasks.
