The WFP Regional Bureau for Eastern and Central Africa (RBN) is based in Nairobi and provides strategic direction, technical guidance, resource mobilization and management support to WFP operations and activities in ten countries: Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan , Sudan and Uganda.
JOB PURPOSETo coordinate and control a full range of business support services including procurement-oriented processes to ensure that services are delivered effectively; and to perform a range of process-oriented responsibilities related to security operations including Information and Knowledge management,monitoring and maintaining security budget cost & equipment in line with established procedures.
To deliver a wide range of business support processes and activities for a specific professional area of work, to facilitate effective service delivery. 
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation : The candidate must have an undergraduate degree preferably in Business Management, Human Resources, International Relations, Business Administration, Strategic Management, or other related fields.
Experience : Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.
Knowledge & Skills :
 • Knowledge of specialised common business practices and methods, gained through relevant technical training and experience. • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of individuals in order to provide a high quality support service. • Ability to carry out basic data analysis and independently rectify problems requiring attention. • Ability to monitor and record financial transactions. • Good communication skills required to give and receive information and work with a variety of individuals. • Proficiency in MS Office/Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint) and ERP systems. • Ability to maintain confidentiality. Language : Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station and in the duty station’s language, if different.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1/2 (not all-inclusive)Under the direct supervision of the Senior Regional Security Officer (SRSO), the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
 • Actively participate in the regional Information and Knowledge management Focal Points, sharing ideas, collaborating on knowledge assets, supporting fellow Knowledge • Management Focal Points and overall promoting good IKM practices. • Assist managers in planning, monitoring and reconciling budget(s) to ensure that planned financial resources are used effectively. • Prepare and/or consolidate comprehensive reports, documentation, correspondence, briefing notes, etc. and conduct research in the area of work. • Actively seek and use feedback to improve business processes and procedures. • Respond to complex business support queries in order to provide a timely and accurate resolution of enquiries for clients. • Conduct training sessions on information repositories and on sound information management practices with the team. • Identify content internally and externally to WFP and support the creation of new content that can bring new insights to WFP’s work.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 2/2 • Oversee the maintenance of records and databases to ensure information is organized and readily available for staff and compliant with all relevant regulations and policies. • Revise and review correspondence and documentation, providing feedback and making amendments where appropriate, to contribute to production of these materials to time andquality standards. • In coordination with relevant services ensure preparation of training/workshop facilities, including catering facilities, provision and installation of necessary equipment. • Assess and recommend improvements to procedures and practices, to contribute to the effective delivery of business support services. • Provide a full range of complex business support services to staff to contribute to the effective functioning of business operations. • Assess and recommend improvements to procedures and practices, to contribute to the effective delivery of business support services.
