JOB PURPOSEWe are currently seeking to fill an internship position under the WFP Cash Based Transfer Unit, – Mozambique, the position will be based at Maputo.  The Internship will be for an initial period of six (6) months.  The selected candidate will be assisting the WFP CBT Unit and will have access to the below available skills:
–    CBT-related project management end-to-end (design, implementation, and monitoring), including coordination among teams-    Analytical skills (ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data and draw conclusions to inform decisions about transfer modalities)-    Oral and written communication skills (ability to communicate objectives, challenges, and solutions to inform decision making)-    Networking skills-    Multitasking skills (ability to follow up on the implementation of multiple CBT interventions simultaneously) STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS​​​​​​University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in a field relevant to the position such as Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management or Project Management, Social Sciences or other relevant fieldBe a recent graduate from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme) from a recognized university and have attended classes in the last 12 months of enrolment in the university.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point);Fluent in English and PortugueseStrong knowledge of spreadsheets and databases (MS Excel and MS Access) or other databasesAbility to present information in the form of tables, charts and diagrams easily comprehensible
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)Prepare thematic briefs on CBT interventions to showcase achievements and new initiatives.Coordinate with Field Offices and COMET Focal Points at FO and CO level to reconcile monthly distributions of cash-based transfers. Coordinate with relevant Units and FOs to ensure supply of payment instruments (SCOPE cards, SIM cards, vouchers, etc.), CBT-related devices (scanners, laptops, etc.) and visibility materials (banners, brochures, etc.).Contribute to the development/update of CBT-related SOPs and risk register.Support information management activities (build a repository of key documents, liaise with other teams to compile lessons learned and recommendations to improve implementation of CBT operations, develop a tracking tool to monitor implementation of oversight/audit recommendations, etc.)Perform any other tasks as required

TERMS AND CONDITIONSDuration of assignment will be 6 months with a posibility of extensionDuty station/location can be in Maputo or our field offices.WFP is not responsible for living expenses, arrangements for accommodation, travel to and from WFP internship location, necessary visas and costs related.Interns receive a monthly stipend from WFP up to the maximum amount of US$575 per month depending on the duty station of assignment. WFP will recognize candidates’ educational credentials from recognised institutions that have been certified by competent international or national authorities such as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) or Ministries of Education;
