Thanks to the quality of its work, UNICEF Cote d’Ivoire has gained over time more and more trust from several donors, implementing a growing number of projects. As a result, the office’s need to document progress and communicate it effectively has also grown. At the same time, new opportunities are arising, demanding UNICEF to be flexible and reactive to seize them. To respond to this context UNICEF Cote d’Ivoire would like to strengthen its team with a dedicated Reporting Specialist.
How can you make a difference?
1. Quality assurance of donor reports and proposals
Be responsible for the effective coordination and the continuous improvement of the donors’ reports/proposals development process, working in close collaboration with the Program Chiefs of Section, the Partnership Specialist, the M&E Manager and the Deputy representative.
Develop, review, edit and format of project reports, proposals ensuring high quality standards
Formulates recommendations for improvements of program design (RBM) at the proposal stage and the improvement of the reporting/proposal
Maintain a coherent system for tracking reports due to donors to ensure that they are submitted in high quality and on time and ensure that section chiefs and management are informed on reporting requirements
Be responsible for the office information system on donor reports and proposals (both VISION and SharePoint).
2. Creative/strategic writing for donor’s communication and advocacy
Work in close collaboration with the program staff and the communication department to develop high quality human-interest stories and communication material for donors
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in in Social sciences, Planning development, Communication, Journalism, Sociology, Public Relations, Marketing or in a related area
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the areas of Reporting, communication, Programme monitoring and evaluation, Fundraising, Marketing
Ability to graphically synthetize complex information and to develop effective presentations will be considered an asset
Previous experience with report/proposal editing and formatting will be considered an asset
Previous experience with Program Planning and Result Based Management will be considered an asset
Experience in international organizations, NGOs or UN agencies (particularly UNICEF) will be considered an asset
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Full professional fluency (Written and Oral) in English and French
