How can you make a difference?
The efficiency and effectiveness of the support provided by the Quality Assurance Specialist is to ensure compliance of the South Africa Country Office (SACO) with all UNICEF relevant program requirements, including HACT rollout plan, quality assurance activities, audit compliance, program review, internal control strengthening, budget and fund monitoring.
Under the overall guidance of the Chief of Operations, the Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for supporting SACO in mitigating risks and strengthening controls related to governance, program and operations processes. The incumbent ensures effective planning, implementation, quality assurance, compliance activities and monitoring and contribute to risk management overall.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Audit or Finance/Accounting with bias in Auditing and Risk financial management.*A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.
Membership or enrolled for membership – of recognized professional audit body is an advantage.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience focused on audit, internal control and assurance accounting and/or financial/budget management and auditing.
Experience in conducting training is an asset
Good judgement, initiative, high sense of responsibility, organizational and analytical skills.
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of local language an asset.
