UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential. Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone. And we never give up.
For every child, a communication champion
UNICEF Cote d’Ivoire needs to continuously and strategically place the issues facing the most marginalized and excluded children in Cote d’Ivoire in the international scene, the national dialogue and at the heart of the public and political agenda; to bring issues to the forefront to accelerate the realization of child rights for Cote d’Ivoire’s most vulnerable children.
Regarding the evolving upstream role of UNICEF in the Country Programme (policy advocacy and dialogue, resources leveraging, etc.) and the enhanced role that public awareness and advocacy will have to play to support this, the programme would ensure that the organization is positioned as a credible and trusted voice for children and is perceived as relevant to guide and influence the policy dialogue.
UNICEF needs to continue to deliver persuasive messages through different channels, exploring key opportunities for activating our audiences around advocacy priorities, defining and implementing public advocacy tactics targeted at decision makers.
