The regional Head of Emergency leads the Emergency Department in the Region in order to support the Member Associations (MAs) to be prepared and to respond to crisis and natural disasters. He / she is the central interface for all emergency related issues in the region. The position involves the monitoring, evaluation, communication and leadership of emergency programmes in the region. This involves providing expert advice to key stakeholders in MAs and the federation and Emergency Team leadership across the region.The main tasks and responsibilities of the position are:
Leads the Emergency Response strategy of the IOR in accordance with IOR RMT and with the participation of MAs NMTs and key staff Provides timely updates and advise to the International Director Region to facilitate the rapid response and decision-making that is required Provides guidance to the national colleagues on every aspect of emergency programme implementation (assessment, implementation, monitoring & evaluation) and ensure compliance with established protocols Advises NA colleagues and quality check emergency standard documents (Humanitarian Appeal, Crisis Response form, Project documentation) in collaboration with regional functions Coordinates internal information management on emergency operations in close cooperation with other stakeholders in the region Develops partnership and networking with other humanitarian actors (UN agencies, INGOs…) Feeds info and collate lessons learnt and best practices in security in order to set SOP (standard operational procedures) for each emergency setting Liaises with regional Finance team to ensure efficient fund transfer and financial administrative procedures (budget, cash flow plan, request for transfers, accounting, financial reporting) Active member of the RMT We offer Diverse, creative and challenging opportunities in an international working environment Possibility to make significant contribution towards the development of Member Associations in the Region Competitive compensation package and excellent development opportunities In accordance with the organisation’s child protection policy, all employment is subject to applicable background checks, including criminal record checks If you are interested in this position, please send your detailed e-mail application: CV, cover letter. |
