Main tasks:
Strategic and thematic leadership for the programmes in Niger and Sengal and their development
Monitoring and administrative supervision of the programmes, including finances
Acquisition of additional funding sources (mandates)
Leadership and supervision of the Country Directors in Niger and Sengal
Active cooperation in pertinent networks, fundraising, and public relations in Switzerland
Active contribution to the further development of HEKS/EPER’s international division
Required profile:
University degree or similar qualification and at least five years of experience in development cooperation
Multi-year work experience in developing countries, preferably in Africa and in the domain of rural development.
Sound track record in programme management (including controlling, budgeting and audits)
Proven experience in acquiring and managing mandates
Fluent in English and German or French (oral and written)
Team player, performs under pressure, initiative and pro-active personality
Able to master the usual IT tools
