The Wiltshire Community Foundation has launched the Science Museum Group Wroughton Solar Park Community Benefit Fund Small Grant Program to support projects which will improve the lives of people living in the parish areas of:

Wroughton
Chiseldon
Clyffe Pypard
Broad Town
Broad Hinton
Ogbourne St George
Ogbourne St Andrew
Aldbourne
Baydon
Funding Information
Grants of up to £2,000 are available.
Type of Projects
You can apply for a grant for:

to continue the work your organisation already does
to pay for a new activity which can include:
core costs – these might include (but not only) salaries, training, equipment, insurance or premises
projects costs – these might include (but not only) salaries, training, equipment, insurance or premises
capital costs (buildings and equipment) – grants for capital costs are one-off only (i.e. not multi-year) and if the cost of the project is more than the grant, you must have already secured most of the rest you need when you apply to them.
The Foundation will Fund
Registered or non-registered charities, community groups, schools and academies operating within Swindon and/or Wiltshire who’s project benefits people within a 10km radius of Wroughton Solar Park.

Your organisation must have the following:
a bank account with at least two unrelated signatories
an independent management group based in Swindon or Wiltshire
a constitution
less than 12 months running costs in unrestricted reserves
a Safeguarding Policy and an Equality Policy
Social enterprises (including Community Interest Companies) can apply provided they:
have a social purpose and are owned and run by their communities
are limited by guarantee
have at least three unrelated directors, the majority of whom are not paid
have an asset lock clause that ensures funds and assets are transferred to a body with charitable objects on closure of the CIC
have a system to ensure decisions on Directors’ remuneration are not taken by those Directors receiving remuneration
You can apply for:
new projects
continuation of existing provision
training and other development activities that strengthen groups
salaries
core costs and overheads
Eligibility Criteria
You can apply for a grant if you are a:
constituted voluntary or community organisation
registered charity
a not-for-profit company of Community Interest Company where a majority of directors receive no payment
school, academy or college
a branch of national organisations with a local management committee based in Wiltshire or Swindon, your own constitution, and a bank account you control.
Your organisation must have:
an active management committee of at least three people who are not related to each other, living at the same address or in a long-term relationship
a bank account with two signatories who are unrelated to each other
less than 12 months running costs in unrestricted reserves. This means in your accounts at the end of your last financial year, the amount shown as Unrestricted reserves (not including any Designated funds) must be less than your expenditure during that year.
The documents you need are:
a constitution
a copy of a recent bank statement
financial records or accounts
a Safeguarding Policy and an Equal Opportunities Policy If you do not have these they will discuss this with you when you apply.
