The U.S. Embassy in Yangon, Burma and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State have announced the 2019 call for proposals for the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP), Small Grants.

 

The Fund is aimed at preserving cultural sites or objects that have a historical or cultural significance to the cultural heritage of Myanmar.

Funding Information

Grants this year will range from $10,000 to $200,000.

Eligibility Criteria

AFCP defines eligible project applicants as reputable and accountable noncommercial entities, such as non-governmental organizations, museums, ministries of culture, or similar institutions and organizations, including U.S.-based organizations subject to Section 501(c)(3) of the tax code, that are registered and active in SAM.gov and able to demonstrate that they have the requisite experience and capacity to manage projects to preserve cultural heritage.

Ineligible Project Applicants

AFCP does not award grants to individuals, commercial entities, or to past grant recipients which have not fulfilled the objectives or reporting requirements of previous AFCP grants.

Proposals may be submitted in hard copy or electronically at the address given on the website, with “Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation 2019 (Small Grant)” as the subject line.
