TED 2017 Fellowship Program (Fully-funded)

The TED2017 Fellowship application is now open! TED is looking for the next generation of innovators who have demonstrated remarkable accomplishment and outstanding potential to positively affect the world.

Every year, through a rigorous open application process, TED selects a group of rising stars to be TED Fellows. Fellows are selected based on remarkable achievement, their strength of character and on their innovative approach to solving the world’s tough problems.

Twenty fellows will be selected to attend theTED conference to be held April 24 to 28, 2017 in Vancouver, Canada. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend pre-conference programs with training by speakers. Fellows are invited to attend a TED conference, where they meet, exchange ideas and connect with the larger TED community. They also give their own TED Talk – an unprecedented opportunity to disseminate their unique ideas to the world.The TED Fellows program provides transformational support to a global network of 400 visionaries – scientists, artists, activists, entrepreneurs, doctors, journalists and inventors – who collaborate across disciplines to create positive change around the world.

Eligibility

In addition to impressive accomplishment, fine character and a good heart are two very important traits they look for in a every potential TED Fellow.

  • Applicants should be over age 18 to apply.
  • Individuals from all around the world can apply but applicants from across the five target regions — Africa, the Asia/Pacific region, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East are encouraged to apply.
  • English proficiency is a requirement.

Fellowship Support

Once you are selected as a TED Fellow, TED will cover your flights (or equivalent) to and from the TED conference, any visa you may need, room, board + food while at the conference, and a conference pass.
