Family Support Network is a collaborative of social service providers, schools, housing providers, and community advocates are working together to reduce barriers for children, youth and families to achieve stable housing.
Increasing access to economic opportunity is a necessity for children and families to maintain stable housing. The collaborative has been working to include those with lived experience throughout the development of the project.

Goals
Increase collaboration among agencies in the community working to lower barriers for families to access economic opportunity. Examples of opportunity for collaboration with existing projects within the Family Support Network focus include:
Coordination with Bi-County Community Action Program and Evergreen Youth and Family services to assist clients housed by the Homework Starts with Home program.
Coordination with Bemidji Rotary with Ridgeway Apartments Family Safety Project.
Coordination with local schools in education and workforce development.
Coordination with Village of Hope family shelter and the Hope Lives at Home project.
Increased cross-sector participation with Family Support Network advisory committee.
Increase accessibility to education and employment resources for youth and families in underserved populations.
Assisting youth and families in navigating systems to access education and employment resources to increase economic opportunity.
Projects include a two-generation approach.
Including those with lived experience in the program development and review.
Funding Information
Total available funding is $20,000, with grant amounts anticipated to be $5,000 – $10,000.

Grants may fund new or existing programs, projects, studies, planning, collaborative work, capital projects, equipment, training, new or expanded staff, community engagement efforts, events, and other similar activities.
Grants are meant to make a long-term impact in the community.
Ineligible Expenses
Grants cannot fund political activities, religious propagation, discriminatory practices, past operating debts, legal fees, or similar activities.
Project Requirements
Successful grantees will be asked to participate on the Family Support Network advisory committee.
