The Cleaning Innovative Mediterranean Action (CLIMA) has launched an open call for sub-grants to support circular economy initiatives in Sestri Levante, Italy.

The CLIMA project, Cleaning Innovative Mediterranean Action: reducing waste to boost economies (funded with resources from the European Program ENI CBC Med 2014-2020 “Mediterranean Sea Basin Program”), offers an opportunity for non-profit entities and small companies active in Liguria to the assignment of 2 non-repayable grants for initiatives that promote the circular economy.

The aim of the call is to promote the circular economy in the municipality of Sestri Levante (GE), through the recovery of food surpluses generated in the area.

Objectives
The general objective of the call for this call is the following:
Promote the circular economy in the municipality of Sestri Levante (GE), through the recovery of food surpluses generated in the area.
The specific objectives of the call are:
Promote public / private cooperation in the Sestri Levante area for enhancement of food surpluses
Offer technological solutions for the enhancement of food surpluses in the municipality of Sestri Levante.
Funding Information
The project will grant 2 aid funds;

Minimum amount per project: EUR 4,000
Maximum amount per project: EUR 5,000
Type of Proposals
Proposals are considered eligible that:

Promote public / private cooperation in the Sestri Levante area for enhancement of food surpluses
Offer technological solutions for the exploitation of food surpluses in the municipality of Sestri Levante
Type of Activity
Eligible activities are considered (but not necessarily limited to these):

Training activity
Awareness raising activities
Mobilization activities
Network creation and support activities
Technological processing activities
Supply of IT equipment and materials
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered eligible, the Lead Partner must meet the following criteria:

Be a legal representative or natural person
Be a non-profit entity registered in Italy or a profit entity duly registered in Italy
Be legally registered in Italy
Be directly responsible for the funded Project and not delegate management responsibilities to third parties.
