Small Grants to strengthen the Capacities of CSOs in Latin America

Deadline: 15-May-22

UN Women has announced a call for proposals for small grants to strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations (CSOs) active in preventing and responding to violence against women and girls and in the economic empowerment of women in the Latin American region.

The purpose of this call is to support the institutional strengthening of organizations that work on prevention and/or provide containment, information and assistance services—including economic empowerment—to women, adolescents and girls in situations of violence and discrimination for reasons of genre.

The overall goal of the Initiative is that all women and girls, with an emphasis on women who face greater vulnerability to violence and intersecting forms of discrimination, live lives free from violence and harmful practices. In the Latin American region, the Initiative focuses on the elimination of the most extreme manifestation of violence, femicide/feminicide. In addition to the Regional Program, the Spotlight Initiative is implemented through national programs in Argentina, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, and Mexico.
