The SkyCity Auckland Community Trust is seeking applications for its Grant Program.

The Trust is a valued part of the commitment SkyCity has made to the Auckland community since its inception in 1996. SkyCity Auckland Community Trust accepts applications from charitable organizations operating from the Far North down to the Bombay Hills. Support is not given to activities occurring internationally or outside of this greater Auckland boundary area.

Priorities

This year’s priority will be given to applications that support the development and advancement of Rangatahi/Young People through a mix of:

Direct funding initiatives for Youth/Rangatahi employability, development, and wellbeing
Social enterprise and community economies that support Youth/Rangatahi to thrive
Initiatives that lift the environment Youth/ Rangatahi exist within
Initiatives that ensure Youth/Rangatahi are considered in the context of their Whanau and Community
Initiatives that address systemic inequities that pose barriers to Youth/Rangatahi success
Terms and Conditions

Organizations must complete the relevant online application form and nominate two suitable contact people
All questions on the application form must be completed, even if supporting information is provided
Where the application is for larger or multi-year grant requests, and for those who are incorporated charities, the organization’s latest set of financial accounts must be included along with other requested support material
Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted
All applications must meet the outlined funding criteria, which includes the requirement to submit their COVID-19 response plans
A successful application does not set a precedent for any future funding assistance from the SkyCity Auckland Community Trust
Applicant organizations must inform the SkyCity Auckland Community Trust of any relevant information and be prepared to assist any inquiries made by the respective Trust’s duly authorized officers or agents
All applicants must be not-for-profit organizations and operate in line with charitable purposes
Organizations must have been established for a minimum of 12 months. New groups may be considered if partnering with an existing organization established longer than 12-months.
Required Documents

You may need to upload/submit attachments to support your application. This is very simple but requires you to have the documents saved on your computer, or on a storage device. You need to allow enough time for each file to upload before trying to attach another file. Files can be up to 25MB each;

Supporting documents may include;

Project Plans
Weblinks or URL’s to clips about your organization and project
Covid19 Response Plans
NZ Charity Registration Number (if applicable)
Verified Bank Deposit Slip
Submission of Application

You will find a Review and Submit button at the bottom of the Navigation Panel. You need to review your application before you can submit it.
Once you have reviewed your application you can submit it by clicking on ‘Submit’ at the top or bottom of the screen or on the navigation panel. You will not be able to submit your application until all the compulsory questions are completed and there are no validation errors.
Once you have submitted your application, no further editing or uploading of support materials is possible.
When you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your submitted application attached. This will be sent to the email you used to register.
