Skokie Community Foundation announces 2022 Grant Cycle – US

The Skokie Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2022 grant cycle. This year the Foundation is seeking to fund proposals that address needs that have arisen in Skokie due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath.

The Skokie Community Foundation invites proposals in which organizations collaborate for the benefit of Skokie residents.

The Foundation seeks to invest in organizations and projects that are poised to make a difference in the lives of Skokie residents and strengthen the community beyond the grant period.

This year, the Foundation seeks to fund proposals that address pressing community needs as Skokie and its residents begin to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Funding Information

Proposals may request up to $10,000.
The Foundation intends to award $25,000 during this grant cycle.
Areas of Funding

The Foundation requests proposals that aim to help Skokie residents recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath. Preference will be given to proposals that directly address how the project will benefit Skokie residents in areas of clearly identified needs.
These areas may include but are not limited to: psychological and social-emotional ramifications of COVID; issues pertaining to the return to the workplace and school setting, as well as the challenges faced by students after prolonged remote learning.
Additionally, preference will be given to proposals that recognize the importance of the racial, social, and economic inequality that were exposed and exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Each proposal must be submitted by at least two organizations working together to benefit Skokie residents.
One of the co-applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization, a school, or a government entity or must have a fiscal sponsor that qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under Sec. 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
All proposals must address issues, concerns, and/or opportunities for Skokie and its residents related to or impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath.
Applicants need not be based in Skokie.
