THE ORGANISATION

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, for nearly 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters covering their vital needs: water, food and shelter. Being particularly committed to the fight against water-borne diseases, the first cause of mortality in the world, SI intervenes with an expertise in the fields of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also that of food security and livelihoods. SI is present in around twenty countries; its teams – a total of 2,000 employees made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent employees at the headquarters, and a few volunteers – intervene with professionalism and commitment in the respect of other cultures.

RLH-coop. is a humanitarian logistics cooperative created 2021, currently regrouping 9 humanitarian organizations. Its main objective is to increase logistics efficiency through resources pooling.

All members of the cooperative actively participate in the recognition of logistics as a strategic pillar for humanitarian operations, through the implementation of projects pooling human and material resources. Based on inclusive governance and the mobilisation of the expertise of all its members, RLH Coop provides logistical support to all humanitarian partners through the mobilisation of technical experts, the coordination of joint procurement and the management of complex purchases.

This position is recruited and hired by Solidarités International, on behalf of RLH-coop.

ABOUT THE JOB

In close coordination with HQ procurement departments in various organizations, the program manager drives and manages joint procurement initiatives.

Through supply chain data analysis and supported by a data specialist, he/she impulses ideas and potential joint procurement activities. He/she is in charge of coordinating partners on collectively identified initiatives, as well as providing the technical support necessary for their implementation.

He/she is responsible for the good execution and quality of the implemented pooling activities, as well as their adjustments over time.

Responsibilities and duties

Project design and implementation

  • Define the initiatives to be implemented through supply chain data analysis and in close collaboration with RLH-coop. and partners willing to join the initiatives.
  • Coordinate the definition phase of the initiatives
  • Plan the implementation of the project
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of the selected initiatives
  • Identify potential obstacles to the initiatives and alert project management to specific needs in terms of technical expertise
  • Coordinate the launch of “resources pooling” activities
  • Establish the precise work plan for each activity in close coordination with the partners involved.
  • Facilitate exchanges between partners through coordination and dedicated support.
  • Ensure the update of the global work plan.
  • Establish the necessary project documentation including tender documents, MoUs with partners, etc…

Support the digital platform and the management of shared purchases in the LINK application

  • Provide sectorial expertise to the design of the platform and digital tools
  • Alert the Information System team of potential bugs and usability issues.
  • Bring business experience to the upgrade of the LINK platform for the management of joint procurements

Lessons learned and project document consolidation

  • Produce project reports and lessons learned documents according to the predefined tools.
  • Write handover reports before the end of his/her work contract, and transmit them to the project team
  • Participation in the continuous adaptation of the project through the conduct of a lessons learned exercise on each project implemented

Reporting / communication / representation

  • Communicate to the management team any major blockage requiring their intervention.
  • Ensure the transmission of information to the management team for the preparation of donor reports.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Demonstrated experience in international supply chain and procurement
  • Ability to be autonomous and independent
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit recommended
  • Ability to adapt as needed

SI WILL OFFER YOU

  • Position based in Solidarités International HQ, Clichy la Garenne (Metro Mairie de Clichy) or remote working
  • Fixed-term Contract, 12 months
  • Gross monthly salary, depending on the experience of the candidate and the salary grid at SI HQ between 3168 € and 3300 € (2 grades)
  • Remote-Working options: 100% / 12 days/month / 4 days/month
  • Additional 12 days leaves per year to be cumulated with XXXX Days of annual leaves
  • Health insurance (80 % covered by SI), Food allowance (60% covered by SI), Transport allowance (50%covered by SI)
