Schindler Global Award Competition 2016 / 2017 (Over 100,000 Euro in Prizes)

The Schindler Global Award (SGA) is a student urban design competition. It is focused on mobility, understood as a key driver of desirable change in urban areas around the world. The SGA is a chance for young designers to match their skills and imaginations against the challenge of shaping the cities of today and tomorrow. The biannual competition will next take place in 2016-2017, with a site in São Paulo, Brazil.
Participation in the competition gives students a platform for knowledge sharing, comparison and recognition. Through the use of the open competition format, common in professional design practice, students have the opportunity to gain career-oriented skills and contact with internationally renowned practitioners and experts.
Prize
- With over 100,000 Euro in prizes, the Global Schindler Award will recognize one winning competition scheme along with runners up and grants.
Eligibility
- Open to all Bachelor and Master’s Degree students of architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and planning, from degree-granting educational institutions worldwide.
