USD 1 million Partnership Fund for SDG Impact Projects
With the devastating California climate fires and pandemic, there have been many community projects impacted, bringing many challenges including extensive loss of traditional community spaces, ceremonial sites, regalia, traditional food systems and planting areas, and many cultural projects canceled or delayed. Seventh Generation Fund will be providing funding and support for community centered work rooted in culturally grounded strategies.
Projects may include:
Rebuilding traditional community and ceremonial spaces, arbors, roundhouses, dance grounds
Reviving traditional foodways and food systems, harvesting, planting, gathering medicines
Restoring and making traditional and cultural items, ceremonial regalia, baskets
Traditional land stewardship, traditional ecological knowledge and regeneration of the land
Amplifying cultural knowledge, language, education on water and fire stewardship

Grant Award Ranges: $10,000 – $15,000
Eligibility Criteria
Projects and organizations that serve, originate from and are led by Native California Peoples, and who are most impacted by the issues, methods, and outcomes;
Focused on community organizing strategies centered in the culture and values of the community served;
Leadership/Board of Directors is comprised of 80% or more Indigenous Peoples, with an Indigenous Executive Director;
Non-profit certification with 501(c)3 tax-exempt status, or fiscally-sponsored, or tribally-chartered, and are in good standing with the Seventh Generation Fund.
