The Queensland Government is seeking applications for its Queensland Arts Showcase Program (QASP) to support vibrant and accessible arts and cultural experiences for Queensland by individuals, organisations or collectives.

(Ad) What tools do you need to raise funds for your organization?
A grants database, a donor search option, sample proposals, a library of guidebooks on how to raise funds, a grants map, a deadline calendar, training from fundraising experts and an alert system to give you timely information about new opportunities. The program also focuses on creating employment and training opportunities for Queensland-based artists and arts workers while supporting collaborations to provide quality arts and cultural experiences.

Objectives

The development and growth of vibrant and accessible art and cultural sector in Queensland;
Strengthening the Queensland arts and cultural sector’s connection with new audiences;
Supporting artistic and non-artistic collaborations to develop innovative and quality arts and cultural experiences;
Strengthening professional development and the creation of employment and training opportunities for Queensland’s small to medium arts and cultural sector.
Funding Information

QASP provides up-front, one-off grants of up to $30,000 (sole-funding) and up to $60,000 (co-funding).
Funding Streams

Arts Accelerate:
Supports the creative development, and public or digital presentation responding to audience demand;
Create new employment opportunities and/or cultivate new and emerging talent;
Extend artists’ and/or organisations’ practice, audiences and markets;
Stimulate sector recovery with a focus on the demonstrated track record of presenting work in a venue;
Support up to $3,000 for equipment purchases which directly relates to the creation and delivery.
Arts Activate:
Create employment opportunities and/or collaboration between artists;
Supports a vibrant and diverse range of original arts and cultural experiences for Queensland communities;
Contribute to the activation of community and cultural infrastructure, including digital infrastructure;
Support up to $3,000 for equipment purchases which directly relates to the creation and delivery.
Arts Advantage:
Create new employment opportunities;
Develop and implement new programs that deliver social benefit outcomes to communities;
Collaborate with government, business and not-for-profit agencies;
Support up to $3 000 for equipment purchases directly related to the creation and delivery of the funded project.
Eligibility Criteria

An organisation/group must:
Have an active ABN in the name of the applicant.
Have a bank account in the name of the applicant.
An individual must:
Have an active ABN in the name of the applicant.
Have a bank account in the name of the applicant.
Be over 18 years of age or have the application co-signed by their legal guardian confirming they will take responsibility for managing any funding that may be offered to the applicant. In this case, the bank account will be in the name of the legal guardian.
An auspicing body must:
Have an active ABN in the name of the auspicing body.
Have a bank account in the name of the auspicing body.
Agree to support an individual, organisation or group who is unable to make an application on their own behalf and manage any approved grant.
Agree to support an individual, organisation or group that meets the objectives of the auspicing bodies constitution.
Submit the application in the name of the applicant (individual, organisation or group).
Be a small to medium arts/cultural organisation previously funded by Arts Queensland since 1 January 2019.
Auspicing bodies are not restricted to the number of QASP applications they can manage.
Eligible applications must:
Be submitted by a Queensland based individual, organisation or collective or show evidence as to how the activity will directly benefit Queensland arts and culture.
Where applicable, show evidence of demand and support for activities that involve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Demonstrate the project can be completed within 12 months from approval.
Applicants can submit multiple QASP applications, but will only be eligible for two QASP approvals each Financial Year.
