The Sohl Lab at San Diego State University in San Diego is seeking to hire a postdoctoral scientist to help advance our work on understanding how isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) drives cancer.
Summary
The successful candidate will lead a project on determining the organelle-specific consequences of cancer-relevant IDH1 mutations, and how alterations in organelle-specific pathways are communicated to other locations within the cell. The ideal candidate will have completed their Ph.D. and is a motivated, collaborative, ambitious, creative, and detail-oriented individual. The Laboratory is interested in independent, enthusiastic, and creative scientists that value collaboration in a diverse and enthusiastic lab environment. Postdoctoral Scientist at the San Diego will do the following duties

Experience
Ph.D. in cancer biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related field.
Experience in molecular cell biology, basic cancer biology, and biochemistry.
