All over the world girls are at risk because of their young age and their gender. They are at risk of being denied the opportunity to access a secondary education, to gain the skills and training they need to work and to exercise control over their sexual and reproductive health. They are at risk of being married before the age of 18. They are at risk of violence and harassment from men and boys in every space they occupy, including their home, their school, their refugee camp and their city.

 

Plan International Bangladesh has been implementing a 4.5 years grant project, funded by GAC, aiming to improve maternal and child health in Bangladesh.

 

The role

 

The Project Manager is responsible to implement project in the field and provide managerial support to implementing partners in the field. This position has to effectively manage this project in collaboration with implementing NGO partners and other stakeholders at local level and some extend at national level.  Responsible for overall quality implementation of this project in the field. The other significant responsibility is to communicate and coordinate with donor through updates and reporting. This position is also responsible for ensuring the evidences produced in the field and overseeing production of replicable model as per results & work plans, and monitoring of programme implementation. Also responsible for ensuring work environment for the team and maintain good team work within project and also in programme while leading the close-out processes of the project.

 

What we’re looking for

 

We are looking for a ‘to go’ and a passionate team member who is competent in project management of MNCH Programme including leading project closeout successfully. A Postgraduate degree holder preferably an MBBS, with experience in community led approaches in maternal and child health; experiences in implementing health projects in partnership approaches and communication with multi stakeholders; handling projects with large portfolio (financial and human resources) in INGOs or NGOs.

Duration of contract: Upto March 2020
