The Purpose:
Under a multi-sectorial project for empowering Egyptian and refugees girls and women in Egypt, it comes the component of education to protect girls of harassment and HTP. This project is funded by UNFPA and this component will be implemented in Sohag.
Responsibilities include:
The Project coordinator will be responsible for monitoring activity progress, ensure activity implementation abides with the set indicators, provide accurate and timely progress reports and develop high quality donor reports.
The Project Coordinator will oversee project budget – monitoring expenditures, generating funds forecasts, tracking partner expenditures and maintaining all necessary information for the timely development of financial reports. He/she will also be responsible for ensuring that the financial reporting.
The position will be based in Sohag, will provide overall supervision to this project implementation. He/she will be closely coordinating the project activities with community-based implementing partners, other relevant government departments and also liaison with the donor of the project.
He/she will provide supervision, technical support and guidance to the project staff of the partners. He/she will also be responsible for leading the development of project implementation plans and ensure effective coordination and team work.
He/she will facilitate regular collaborative partner and other staff reflection and coordination meetings and to ensure effective implementation of project activities as per the set timelines and develop mechanism for implementation plan review and modification to achieve the set objectives.
The Project coordinator is also expected to ensure that Plan Egypt’s relevant policies on gender, children and young people safeguarding, monitoring and evaluation and risk management are embedded into the project implementation plans
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours  Required to Achieve Role’s Objectives:
Knowledge
5 years of experience in relevant position.
A degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or related discipline.
Prior experience of working on Women/Girls Empowerment or informal education projects, INGO context will be an asset.
Good knowledge of field based monitoring and relationship building.

Excellent English language writing and speaking skills

Proven analytical skills in result-oriented task prioritization and problem solving

Type of Role: Six months contract
