This stream of funding is designed to support organizations running a winter program from Winter 2022 – 2023. The funding should be put towards addressing the needs of vulnerable members of the community.

Funding Information
Qualified Donees may apply for grants of up to a maximum of $50,000.00 for projects up to 3 months in duration.
Registered Not-For-Profits may apply for grants of up to a maximum of $25,000 for projects up to 3 months in duration.
What they Fund?
They fund projects that alleviate poverty for marginalized and racialized communities from low socio-economic backgrounds. For this third round of funding, they are looking to fund projects that will support these communities during the upcoming winter months, with a focus on one or more of the following funding priorities:

Support for vulnerable women and children
Enabling access for those experiencing food insecurity
Access to social and health related programming, for those unable to access it
Enabling access for those experiencing food insecurity (including food banks)
Emergency housing support for homeless and youth-at-risk
Black, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities), People of Colour (BIPOC) communities/families
Support for seniors
Newcomers and Refugees
Community members with disabilities
Eligibility Criteria
They fund organizations classified as Qualified Donees by the Canadian Revenue Agency and Not For Profit Organizations. Private Foundations and Endowments are not eligible to apply/receive funding.
