In Senegal, PATH is partnering with CDC to implement a project aimed at building strong capacity in preventing antimicrobial resistance (AMR), strengthening surveillance systems/ real time surveillance, information systems and lab network in Senegal in order to achieve specific goals in three focus areas of Global Health Security Agenda including i) preventing avoidable epidemics; ii) detecting threat early; and iii) responding rapidly and effectively.

PATH Senegal seeks a Program Associate to work within the GHSA Team on the following:

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Works with technical leads and HQ Program Managers to coordinate technical team inputs into project management tracking and documentation tools and reports, provides input into team decision making processes and updates Internal Project Management on risks and challenges as these arise.
Coordinates content creation for donor reporting, including quarterly report, annual report, continuation application and other reports as applicable.
Works with technical leads to track and document project progress and collect data for reporting on project indicators using the M&E tracker. Identifies and helps to develop additional data collection and reporting templates as needed.
Works with project M&E Officer to analyze project M&E data, report and interpret results, keep key stakeholders up to date through periodic data review meetings and propose ways to use project data to inform programmatic decision making.
Identify needed evaluations (ex. baseline and follow up assessments) to document program outcomes and impacts. Works with M&E officer to identify and propose appropriate timing for evaluations in project lifecycle.
Drafts and reviews M&E reports with support from M&E Officer, Country Director and Project Director.
Maintain editorial calendar for Senegal GHSP.
Lead and manage process for obtaining SG CDC, MOH, and other key partner approvals of PATH communications; liaise with CO to get communications reviewed and approved by GHSP HQ and Global Engagement (as needed).
Assist in interpretation and translation of project documents and materials, and formatting of documents and presentations.
Provide logistical & administrative support and liaise with partners to arrange meetings, trainings, workshops, field trips and other travels.
Assist the team in preparing budget advances for workshop and/or meetings, organize RATs and process travel advances
Compile and process TER reimbursement or refunds, and ensure that supporting documents are in accordance with PATH travel regulation and procedures.
Assist with the development, coordination, and monitoring of subcontracts and sub agreements, consultant agreements, work orders, purchase orders and other contracts.
Provide support to Project Administrator and Project Financial Officer in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets.
Provide support to the Program Coordinator, Program Officers, Financial team and other program staff in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
Organize, assemble, and distribute reports, communication and advocacy materials, and other documents.
Required Experience
A Bachelor’s degree is required plus a minimum of three years professional experience.
Demonstrated ability to create compelling written materials in a range of formats and for a variety of audiences, including donor, government, public health, and lay audiences.
Proficiency in French and English required (both in writing and speaking).
Experience managing multiple communication channels, web sites, and knowledge management systems, and online platforms.
Experience organizing online and in person events (webinars and convening) required.
Experience working with or supporting a virtual network desired.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple demands, manage shifting priorities, and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a highly collaborative environment as part of a cross-disciplinary team operating in multiple locations.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction and under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office products
