The Open Society Institute (OSI) – Assistance Foundation in Tajikistan is seeking applications for its Competition for Obtaining Grants to provide the public with up-to-date information based on high-quality information and analytical materials for the prevention and prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection COVID -19.

Priority Areas

Preventing and reducing the spread of misinformation related to COVID -19, through investigative journalism and the preparation of data-driven analytical materials. Within this priority, the application budget should not exceed 100,000 somoni.
Conducting training activities, practical schools and mentoring programs for the professional development of journalists and civil society activists in investigative journalism in the field of public health, including on the spread of coronavirus infection COVID -19. Within this priority, the application budget should not exceed 200,000 somoni.
Eligibility Criteria

View and receiving grant information
Independent media and public organizations registered in the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as individual journalists, media activists and bloggers.
Applications received within the framework of the competition will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
A clear goal in accordance with the priority of the competition, the relevance and realistic implementation of the tasks;
Availability of innovative solutions (web and mobile applications), with elements of social impact and sustainability of the approach through the introduction of monetization mechanisms;
Availability of experience and potential in the implementation of similar projects, presentation of the results of previous work, if any;
Compliance of the budget with the planned activities and competition requirements;
Preferably partnership with one or more organizations, including government agencies and business organizations;
The quality and completeness of the application.
