RI has been working in Bangladesh for twelve years and is currently responding to the humanitarian emergency is Cox’s Bazar through provision of health, DRR, complimentary food assistance, and protection services for Refugees.
Position Summary: The DRR Advisor will provide technical leadership to all Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) components of an upcoming education project in Bangladesh, including the design and quality assurance of DRR interventions. The position will bring expertise in both community-based disaster risk reduction (CBDRR) and overall disaster preparedness, with a focus on the education environment. This is a full-time Bangladeshi National position for a 5 year period. Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
