Humanity & Inclusion/ Handicap International is an international NGO working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. We work tirelessly alongside disabled and vulnerable people to help meet their basic needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights. Outraged by the injustice faced by people with disabilities and vulnerable populations, we aspire to a world of solidarity and inclusion, enriched by our differences, where everyone can live in dignity. We currently work in 60 countries with an overall budget of 170 million EUR and employ 3,000 people. HI is engaged in an employment policy in favour of disabled workers.

CONTEXT: You share our values? You demonstrate At least 10 years’ experience of managing funding and/or development/emergency aid projects abroad or at NGO headquarter? Come and join our 20 collaborators Luxembourg Staff and our Institution Funding Division (DFI) as Institutional Partnerships Officer!
DFI is composed of staffs based at the HI Federation headquarters (Lyon, Brussels) as well as in National Associations (NAs). It includes a dedicated Institutional Funding North Europe (IFNE) team of 8 staffs based in Brussels and Luxemburg. YOUR OBJECTIVES:
The position is to act as Institutional Partnership Advisor Luxemburg and fits into the co-management of projects implemented with the HI Federation (FHI) and of funding contracts with the Luxemburg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE) related to development and humanitarian aid projects supported by Handicap International in Luxemburg. To be successful for this mission, concerning:
 Donor relationships: you lead the development of an institutional partnership strategy & multi-year action plan for your donors’ portfolio and monitor its implementation. You are responsible for the management of relations with the donors of your portfolio in order to develop business.

 Compliance framework: you define, disseminate and control the application of standards as per donors’ requirements.
 Support the contract implementation: you support operations staffs in their funding strategy & in the implementation of their contracts.
 Promotion of HI, advocacy and networking: keep HI Luxemburg donors informed and help influence their policies and programming. As such, you relay HI’s positioning, produce documents for donors, and participate in events organized by or for donors. You participate in formal and informal networks (Cercle des ONGD, Humanitarian Aid group, etc.).
 Contribution to HIL’s overall strategy: as part of the AN Luxemburg’s 3-year plan, you may be solicited to contribute to ANL’s communication and private fundraising actions.

Experience / Training

You demonstrate 4 years of higher education in a field relevant to the job, or equivalent experience
 You are fluent in French, English (mandatory). Luxemburg and German are an asset.
 You demonstrate at least 10 years’ experience of managing funding and/or development/emergency aid projects abroad or at NGO headquarters
 Autonomous and adaptable, you are used to working in matrix organization
 You are recognized as rigorous and organized : you have the ability to prioritize and manage complex files
 Networking and lobbying is something you enjoy: you have excellent interpersonal skills.
 You share and embody HI values: humanity, inclusion, commitment, integrity.

Salairy

Type of contract: PERMANENT  Remuneration Package: includes a gross monthly salary, 13rd Month, restaurant vouchers 8.40 euros.
