Mission

The primary purpose of this position is to provide proactive monitoring of critical applications, infrastructure servers, routers and all site communication links.

Responsabilities

• The technician should use customer notification systems, Infrastructure management and monitoring tools such as Appdynamics, Centreon, Graphana, AWS Cloudwatch and SaaS Applications monitoring portals.
•  In addition, the technician shall use customer and management notification tools, network protocol applications, used to access remote devices, web resources, Change Asset and Ticketing System (Jira) .
• At all times, the technician, shall monitor the given dashboard and other monitoring systems available, as well as monitor alert mailboxes to identify application problems and  data/voice network, server that may have an impact to the customers
• The technician shall determine the scope and impact for data/voice network, server and application outages and provide timely and accurate customer and management notifications using the tools available.
• The technician shall monitor the information received from the alerts and affiliates Forum.
• The technician shall perform detailed problem documentation of systems incidents and outages.
• The technician shall perform timely escalation of systems problems/outages.
• The technician shall perform proactive and reactive troubleshooting of system problems.
• The technician shall coordinate system activities with vendors and other systems components.
•  In addition the technician must have the ability to provide instructions via the unified communication, LAN administration and Server hardware administration skills are required.

 

Internship requirements

• Working knowledge of the majority of the skills and technologies annotated above, must be able to learn, with provided training, those skills and technologies in which they lack the requisite experience.
• Preferably, 0-2 years of NOC experience.
• Possess strong written and opal command of the English and French language,
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Informations Systems or Technology
• Equivalent combination of knowledge and specialized experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
