Funding Call for Women Entrepreneurs – Moldova

Sweden and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have launched a funding calls for women entrepreneurs from Nisporeni, Calarasi, Basarabeasca, Leova districts, Gagauzia region, security zone (Dubasari district) and Transnistrian region.

The competitions are conducted by the “Sustainable and resilient communities through women empowerment” UNDP project, funded by Sweden.

Objectives
The purpose of this Grant Program is to provide comprehensive assistance to women entrepreneurs in order to strengthen their capacity to adapt to climate change and to develop generating activities sustainable and climate-resistant income by providing financial assistance non-reimbursable grants for the co-financing of 10 innovative businesses aimed at one of the following objectives:

Piloting environmentally friendly, sustainable and income-generating activities resistant to climate change;
Development of smart agricultural activities in the field of climate;
Contributing to the recovery of the vulnerable aspect in the field of agricultural practices, alternative energy, waste processing and other areas related to increasing resilience climate change;
At least 10 businesses will be selected in the grant competition, which will accumulate the highest score.

Funding Information
The maximum amount of funding provided by UNDP will not exceed $ 18,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Women entrepreneurs / companies established and run by women who meet the following conditions:

They are legally constituted in the Republic of Moldova or are in the process of registration, they are registered in one of the eligible areas of the project and operates in the areas target of the project;
The legal representative of the entity / woman entrepreneur, requesting funding was not subject in the last 3 years to a conviction by a final judgment, for professional or ethical-professional reasons, for fraud, corruption, etc.;
The legal representative of the entity / woman entrepreneur, applicant for financing no provides false information;
Female entrepreneur / representative of the applicant entity is direct responsible for the preparation and implementation of the project and does not act as an intermediary for the project proposed to be financed;
The participating entity is not in a state of insolvency, it has no restrictions on commercial activity, is not the subject of arrangements between creditors, or is not is in another situation, regulated by law;
The participating entity does not record government debt and has paid all taxes, obligations and other contributions to the state budget, special budgets and local budgets provided by the legislation in force;
Fully complies with the conditions set out in the Applicant’s Guide.
